Rat Edits GermanyThe two remix/re-edits on this package have the feel of party-starting anthems in the making. A-side "Hustler" is a low-slung tech-house treat that peppers a typically fluid, rolling and bass-heavy groove with vocal samples from Simian Mobile Disco's 2006 hip-house banger of the same name. Flipside "Nova" is an altogether warmer and more melodious affair, working rich, ear-catching, intergalactic melody loops and glassy-eyed chord sequences before introducing a snappy, no-nonsense groove. It's the kind of cut that will make you want to hug complete strangers at four in the morning.
