Skip Audio SpainBased in Barcelona, Skip Audio is a fresh vinyl-only label that, if this debut release is anything to go by, could deliver some seriously ear-catching tech-house tracks in the months and years ahead. That's a lofty claim for sure, but we'd argue that the four cuts showcased on this EP are worthy of such lavish praise. Check first the crunchy drums, snaking bass and watery electronic motifs of Giuliano Lomonte's 'Versatile', before admiring the slowly pulsing pads, rising and falling melodies and snappy beats of Viceversa's wonderfully tuneful and sunny 'Eyes Cat'. Fabrizio Maurzi offers something a little tougher, darker and chunkier in the shape of 'Peace of Mind', while Vincent Casanova doffs a cap to the sci-fi sounds of early UK tech-house on spacey closer 'Cypress Chill'.
