Lamalice's background as a hip-hop and house dancer have given the Marseille-based producer the perfect foundation to build his distinctive, physical strain of techno on. Since debuting in 2019 he's released some choice cuts for the likes of Anthea's Partisan label, and now he arrives on Positive Future with one of his most complete releases to date. The vibe is instantly ear-catching, playing with the kind of mischievous sonic elements you might find on labels like Eya, hitting that sweet spot between fun and deadly serious techno to make for pure dancefloor dynamite. There's even a whiff of French electroclash around 'Humanoid Contact (E.T. Speaking Mix)', and that's no bad thing at all.
